    Astoria has some amazing bagel spots - many of which have opened up in recent years, so it's been a long process determining which is the best.  

    My criteria: the best bagel and the best sausageegg'n'cheese.  this place has both!

    This place has the best egg-everything bagel which is generously coated and flavorful.  this is what I come back for each time.

    Great coffee, fresh OJ, and smoothies as well.

    I'm visiting New York, and this night just be the best bagel of the entire trip.

    I had an egg bagel with strawberry cream cheese.  The bagel was perfectly chewy, with wonderful flavor, and the cream cheese was homemade with lots of real strawberries.

    The owner was extraordinarily nice and helpful as well.

    Will definitely be back for breakfast again tomorrow!

    Toast and Roast is a nice bagel shop in Astoria.  

    Service was efficient.  

    I tried an everything bagel breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese, and it was delicious.  And the bagel was appropriately chewy.  

    I'll definitely be back.

    I love this place. It's super close to me and the bagels are great, the selection of foods is great, the people are friendly, and the prices are right. I knocked a star off because the orders are sometimes incorrect or inconsistent, but they're still my go-to bagel place in the neighborhood.

    We went here for breakfast with my family. I ordered 2 bagels. One of them was a everything bagel and a plain bagel with cream cheese. The plain bagel was good but the everything bagel wasn't as good as the plain. I had a bite of the lox bagel with dill cream cheese and it amazed me. I usually like everything bagel but this one was different. The bagels were cooked well and was very cheap.
